Viral Japanese Cheesecake Recipe

This viral Japanese Cheesecake recipe couldn’t be easier to make! All you need is a jar of Oui French Style Yogurt and some cookies. Experiment with different Oui flavors to find your favorite combination!

Ingredient List

  • 1 jar Vanilla Oui by Yoplait French Style Yogurt
  • 3 cookies (speculoos) or graham crackers
  • ¼ banana

Optional

  • 1 tsp cream cheese
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp chocolate spread
  • 1 tsp fresh fruit or jam
  • 1 tsp peanut butter

Preparation

  1. Open the Oui jar and break your cookies into halves.
  2. Press your cookies upright into the yogurt, one at a time. Leave a small gap between each cookie as you add them.
  3. Chop your banana into small pieces and add to the yogurt.
  4. Cover the yogurt jar and leave to chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours or until the cookies have softened.
  5. Leave overnight (if you can wait!) for a creamier, more cheesecake-like texture.
  6. Remove from the fridge and enjoy immediately!

Tips

  • If you have a 4-pack of yogurt, you can use 1 banana across them all. Each jar will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Mix in a teaspoon of cream cheese into the yogurt for more cheesecake flavor.
  • If you’ve got a sweet tooth, add a touch of honey, maple syrup or chocolate spread into the yogurt.
  • Try fresh fruit, like strawberries or raspberries, or jam for a hint of sweetness.
  • Add a swirl of peanut butter for extra protein – try crunchy peanut butter and a teaspoon of jam for a classic PB and J twist!
