Viral Japanese Cheesecake Recipe

This viral Japanese Cheesecake recipe couldn’t be easier to make! All you need is a jar of Oui French Style Yogurt and some cookies. Experiment with different Oui flavors to find your favorite combination!

Ingredient List

  • 1 jar Oui by Yoplait French Style Yogurt (any flavor)
  • 5 cookies (speculoos) or graham crackers

Optional

  • 1 tsp cream cheese
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp chocolate spread
  • 1 tsp fresh fruit or jam
  • 1 tsp peanut butter

Preparation

  1. Open the Oui jar and press your cookies upright into the yogurt, one at a time.
  2. Leave a small gap between each cookie as you add them.
  3. Cover the yogurt jar and leave to chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours or until the cookies have softened.
  4. Leave overnight (if you can wait!) for a creamier, more cheesecake-like texture.
  5. Remove from the fridge and enjoy immediately!

Tips

  • Vanilla Oui French Style Yogurt is the perfect base for this recipe, as the flavor won’t overpower the other ingredients.
  • Mix in a teaspoon of cream cheese into the yogurt for more cheesecake flavor.
  • If you’ve got a sweet tooth, add a touch of honey, maple syrup or chocolate spread into the yogurt.
  • Try fresh fruit, like strawberries or raspberries, or jam for a hint of sweetness.
  • Add a swirl of peanut butter for extra protein – try crunchy peanut butter and a teaspoon of jam for a classic PB and J twist!
