What is French Style Yogurt?

The French approach to living and eating revolves around pleasure. That’s how our holistic approach to French style yogurt was born. It starts with simple ingredients like whole milk and real fruit, poured and set in individual glass pots for eight hours. This creates a satisfyingly thick, noticeably sweet, fresh tasting yogurt. And that creates a moment of pure enjoyment in every spoonful.

Every pot of Oui yogurt is crafted to perfection and poured and set in its own glass pot. What does that mean? We pour our simple ingredients like whole milk and real fruit into each pot and leave it to set for eight hours. During this time, the culturing process takes places in each glass pot, and VOILA … milk transforms into a deliciously thick yogurt!

Why NOT a glass pot? When we set out to make this exceptional yogurt, we considered every little detail. And that includes the container. Our glass pot is not only recyclable and great for reuse, but it also protects the integrity of the yogurt’s texture during the production and shipping process ensuring our consumer’s experience the best possible French style yogurt every single time.

Oui is inspired by our traditional French recipe, which is still sold in France today. Yoplait’s French history goes back to 1964, when a group of French farmers founded a dairy cooperative that would later become Yoplait. General Mills teamed up with Yoplait in 1977, and purchased a majority stake of Yoplait in 2011. To this day, Yoplait continues to have operations in France as well as many other countries globally.
