Instructions
  1. Enjoy limited edition Oui by Yoplait yogurt and clean the French Floral pot(s). To remove the labels, soak pots in warm soapy water before peeling. In some cases, an adhesive remover may be needed to completely remove the label from top and sides of the pot.
  2. Apply a small amount of hot glue to the flat metal bottom of the wick and place in the center of the Oui pot at the bottom. Hold until the wick is set in place. Fill a saucepan with a small amount of water and bring to a boil.
  3. Fill your candle-making pitcher with the desired quantity of soy wax chips and place the container in the boiling water bath to create a double boiler. Reduce the heat to a simmer.
  4. Fill your candle-making pitcher with the desired quantity of soy wax chips and place the container in the boiling water bath to create a double boiler. Reduce the heat to a simmer.
  5. Constantly stir the wax with a wooden spoon or paint stirrer to prevent any burning. Once all melted, turn off the heat as the temperature of the wax should not exceed 180°. You can use a candle thermometer to help regulate temperature.
  6. Optional: Add a few drops of any desired essential oils once the temperature is between 150° - 160° to ensure the fragrance will stick to the wax.
  7. Pour melted soy wax into the Oui by Yoplait glass pot with the wick. Be sure to leave a little space at the top. Use a craft stick to keep your wick centered in the pot while the wax begins to cool.
  8. As the candle starts to solidify, sprinkle in flower buds. They will float and stay towards the top of the wax. Using a craft stick or toothpick, position them away from the wick as much as possible to avoid unwanted flames.
  9. Once the candle wax is completely dry, remove the holder and trim the wick to desired length.
  10. Light and enjoy! #OuiUpcycle
